Below is information regarding scholarships at the AZ Thespian Festival. Please read carefully, and make sure you complete all steps necessary by required deadlines. Good luck!
2024 ARIZONA THESPIANS SCHOLARSHIP AUDITION REGISTRATION INFORMATION
This year’s scholarship auditions will be performed live in-person for college/universities. They will also be live streamed for our schools from out of state. Students will perform auditions live at the Hyatt Regency Downtown Phoenix on Friday November 22, 2024. There are no exceptions.
To even consider auditioning for scholarships:
- You must be a graduating senior with a 3.0 GPA, un-weighted.
- Be an inducted Thespian at the time of auditions.
- Must intend to major in theatre.
- Minors in theatre are not eligible
- You must complete Scholarship Registration to be eligible.
- You MUST attend one of the following scholarship informational workshops (failure to attend will make a student ineligible):
Monday October 7th, 2024 at 6pm: Technical Theatre Audition Info Google Meet-Led by Carina Stiles
Tuesday October 8th, 2024 at 6pm: Acting, Vocal & Vocal/Acting Audition Info Google Meet-Led by Carina Stiles
Acting/Vocal and Technical Students must register on Acceptd and this must be done by Thursday October 10th, 2024.
Essay Scholarship entrants do not need to register on Acceptd.

DEADLINES: All audition materials should be added by the Thursday October 10th, 2024 registration deadline. Failure to do so will result in ineligibility to audition.
Any scholarship questions should be directed by emailing the scholarship team.
ARIZONA THESPIAN ESSAY SCHOLARSHIPS
Please see the individual application forms for more information. Students must be a Senior and an inducted Thespian to be eligible for essay scholarships.
Students applying to essay scholarships do NOT need to create an account via Acceptd.
Steve Halper Theatre Educator Scholarship $1500.00 (Available to any student intending to major in Theatre Education in the 25-26 School Year)
Theatre for Life Scholarship $1500.00 (Available to any student who will incorporate Arizona Thespians’ core values; ownership, diversity and gratitude, as well as what they have learned through theatre arts in future jobs or community service positions. To be used for the 25-26 School Year)
Playwriting Scholarship $1500 (Available to any student submitting a 15-30 minute one act play going to college in the 25-26 School Year)
ARIZONA THESPIAN AUDITION SCHOLARSHIPS
These scholarships are awarded to students who complete a scholarship audition.
*Ellis Jordan Memorial Scholarship $1500 (Available to any student intending to major in theatre in the 25-26 School Year)
*John Siler Memorial Scholarship $1500 (Available to any student intending to major theatre in the 25-26 School Year)
*AZ Thespian/EdTA Scholarship $1500 (Available to any student intending to major in theatre in the 25-26 School Year)
*Amy Bennett Memorial Music Theatre Scholarship $1500 (Available to any student intending to major or minor in MUSICAL theatre in the 25-26 School Year)
*Technical Theatre Scholarship $1500 (Available to any student intending to major in technical theatre or production in the 25-26 School Year)
*Ovation Scholarship $1500 (Available to any student intending to major in theatre in the 25-26 School Year)
